SKYHIVE

On a low-gravity tropical world, two technological civilizations rise from opposite sides of an ancient ecological relationship: the avians of the open sky and the arthropod powers of the living canopy.

Project Gateway

A world designed from biology outward.

This Phase 2 branch establishes the tablet hierarchy and responsive card system while unique gold-master daughter-page renderings are developed. The world hero now anchors the visual language without locking unfinished art as canon.

The World

Low gravity. Dense air. A biosphere built vertically.

Planetary physics, atmosphere, climate and biomes form the constraint system for every species and civilization.

Avian Ascendancy

Civilization shaped by flight and three-dimensional space.

Precision manipulation, long-range vision, aerial mobility and social learning drive a civilization of spires, sky lanes and altitude.

Arthropod Conclave

Collective intelligence becomes infrastructure.

Distributed cognition, caste specialization, biomaterials and living construction push arthropod evolution into a technological civilization.

Biology & Coevolution

Predator and prey become rival sophonts.

The setting grows from evolutionary pressure: respiration, flight, exoskeletons, sensory systems, ecology, megaflora and deep-time competition.

Technology

Two lineages. Two engineering traditions.

Avian lightweight precision systems contrast with arthropod biofabrication, colony-scale logistics and adaptive materials.

War of Feather and Chitin

The sky itself becomes contested territory.

Aerial interception, swarm warfare, fortified living cities and planetary-scale strategy drive the central conflict without making either civilization a cartoon villain.

Deep History

Millions of years of memory before the first page.

Evolutionary divergence, predation, first cities, technological parity, wars and armistices create a history older than any individual character.

The Books

A new multi-book science-fiction universe.

The working trilogy follows the collision of two ancient civilizations while the underlying world science remains separately documented and auditable.
Working premise

Not birds in uniforms. Not giant cartoon ants.

The avian and arthropod civilizations retain the consequences of their ancestry. Flight, respiration, manipulator anatomy, colony organization, sensory ecology, materials and reproduction all constrain what their societies can become.

The central visual rule is equally strict: the world must look like a dense, vertical tropical super-ecosystem where cities, warfare and transportation evolved for bodies that do not move through space the way humans do.
